Cai Rang floating market at 5 am: how to do it right
Best time, shared or private boat, what to eat on the water and what to avoid.
The market is busiest from 5:30 to 7:00. After 8 most boats have sold out and left.
Shared or private boat?
Shared boats are cheap and fun but follow a fixed plan. A private boat for 4 – 6 people is more flexible and can stop at noodle workshops and orchards.
What to eat on the water
Noodle soups and iced coffee are sold from small sampans. Fruit is sold by the kilo – ask the price first.
Can't make it? Go online
NG Travel's weekend online tour has a guide on the boats; choose fruit on screen and receive it the same day.
