Flood season at Tra Su: a forest carpeted in green
September to November is when the forest is at its best. Here is the 2-day An Giang route I took.
A motorboat took us into the forest, then we switched to a rowing boat. No more engine – just birds and the oar parting the duckweed.
Day 1: Tra Su and Sam Mountain
Tra Su in the morning, Sam Mountain at sunset over the border plains, Chau Doc fish noodles for dinner.
Day 2: Chau Doc market and Cham village
Chau Doc's fermented fish market has more varieties than you can count. In the afternoon we visited a Cham village to see brocade weaving.
